Why should you go at the beach?

Going at the beach is a fun activity. No matter what you do it’s fun to just be outside. You can go with friends and even alone. Once you’re there you have so many choices. You can read outside, swim outside, eat outside, play videogame outside and talk outside. It’s seems that there’s a word that’s always coming up: outside. That what’s beach is all about. Be out and have some fresh air to just refresh yourselves.
Everyone can go to beach. If you’re young it’s fun to play with sand and water. If you’re a teenager it’s fun just to swim and be with some friends. When you’re old it’s a good place to just think and relax for a day. So going to the beach is a good activity to anyone because you can decide to stay on the sand all day or can go and run on the sand or swim in the water.
It’s a place where you don’t have to worry about anything because no one has expectations for you there. You don’t have to be a good sport player or intelligent you can be who you are and the way you want it!
So it’s really just about having fun the way you want. That’s why it’s a good activity since everyone can find a way to enjoy it.

Movie review

Pay it forward is a movie that was in cinemas in 2000. It’s based on a book with the same name. In it, we can see Kevin Spacey (Eugene Simonet), Helen Hunt (Arlene McKinney), Haley Joel Osment (Trevor McKinney). The story is about a little kid named Trevor. He’s having a hard time at home with his mom. He received an assignment from his teacher M. Simonet. That’s when he finds a really good idea to make his world and the entire world a better place. So he does all he can to make it work and change his world including his mom’s. It’s all about love and trust. How much can you love someone? How far can they before just don’t talk to them anymore? And how much you can love someone no matter what that person does?
With these really good themes it’s sure that the movie was good. There were some strange things, like the clothes because it was filmed in 2000. Also, the music is really bad because it’s always the same thing and sometimes it seems louder than the actual voices so it’s just annoying. If we forget that, pay it forward is an amazing movie. It talks about topics that are not often talked about in movies and for once the end is actually surprising. It shows that you can always help people no matter who you are. So it’s like a big hope message. It’s not just about some sad people that become happy, it’s about normal people trying to live their lives the best they can and trying to help others. Also, the actors are good. They really act like they know what they are talking about so it makes the story better and we believe it easily. So really everybody should see it!

A great activity

What’s the best thing in the world? Dessert of course. That's what everyone thinks isn’t it! That’s why the cake decorating activity was so fun to do!
First of all, it’s a great creative exercice because you have to draw something on the cake. You get a cake with nothing on it and some vanilla icing. So you have a cake and boring icing and then you have to put colors. It’s all about the colors! You put the color into the icing so you can decorate the cake however you want it! So it’s really is about creativity. Also, since you are in team you can come up woth really good ideas to make your cake beautiful.
After you’re done decorating you’re cake you will realize that you still have icing. That’s when the fun part come in. From there you can just decide to put more icing everywhere. For our part, we decided to mix all the icing, doing big circle all over the cake. It was really fun to just put so much icing on a little cake! It was like a big rainbow cake.
Then you’re done decorating the cake, so the greatest part comes : eating! After all thing really hard work, we were allowed to eat the cake. We cut it and eat it. It was really good since we put a LOT of icing. It was simple but was still like an angel in the mouth. With all the circles we made on it, the part was really like a rainbow. So it basically was a rainbow cake that puts angel in your mouth. That’s why this activity was so fun!

Art or not?

In life, there are many things that we created. They are ussually called art because we, humain, created them. But when does something start or stop being art? What caracteristics an art piece has to have? Everyone agrees that art is subjective because not everyone like the same type of art but chosing what is or isn’t art is also subjective.
For some people, art has to be created by an human. It has to have a meanning or be there to express some kind of felling but what about beautiful sunsets. If we take them in picture then it becomes art because someone had to take the picture but the sunset itself is it art? Why not? Isn’t it beautiful emough to be, isn’t that the most important? I think that every thing around us is art. We can’t classifed things and tell they are or aren't art because there’s always an exeption. If we say that art has to be created by human, than sunset is not art and in my opinion it is, it’s nature’s art. If we say that art has to be beautiful than it would change for eveyone. If we say that art has to express a feeling, than a necklace handmade isn’t art if the person who did it was just hoping to make money. These are all reason why there is no caracteristics for art. Everything is art!
The only distinction we may add is who’s art it is. A sunset is nature’s art and necklaces are human’s art. From that you can say that your pencil is machin’s art, which is human’s art, which is nature’s art so at the end everything is nature’s art. Since every single object alive or not is created by the nature everything is art!

A little though if you don't agree: Is this art? Just so you know it's an artist that decided to put his shit in this very little can. There is curenttely 90 in the world.

I guess that for some people it is since the price can go upper than 100 000 euro!

A funny story

The first day in the explore program, everyone had to get home in bus. Almost everyone got lost because we didn’t know where we were. The second day some people got lost again but for most of us it was getting easier to get home. I got lost. Not only the first day or the second but until the third day! The third day, which was a wendsay, I was sure I wouldn’t get lost. I watched carfully where the bus was going and waited for my stop but it didn’t came. After a long time, I started thinking I had gotten lost. How would it be different? It’s me we’re talking about! I decided to get out of the bus and to take the same one but on the opposite way. As I was waiting as the bus stop I watched the route of bus. I realized I wasn’t far from my house so I decided I would walk. I didn’t really know how to get back but at least  I knew which streets to look for. I walked until I found the street that’s named Seyton. The only problem was that it was a two way street and I didn’t know which way to use. I saw a bus stop each way and went to see the numbers. One of them was the same bus I take in the morning so I thought I would follow it and arrived at home. I started walking, but after a little walk I thought I didn’t take the right way because I saw a school and I didn’t know there was a school close to my house so I went back to where I had started. I walk in the other way to the end of the street and once again it was the same street going in two way. I recognize one way so went that way. I was sure I would get lost because I always get lost but it turned out I was in the right direction so I made it home! At home I decided to go see on google map the streets and draw a map for myself. Then I found out that the Seyton street was like a circle that’s why I was under the impression I was lost but when I decided to go back to where I had started I was really five minutes away from home. If I had just continued in the same way I would have gotten home the same way I do now! I later learned that the bus sometimes have two different routes for the same number and that’s why I got lost so many times!

Who am I?

I’m Emanuelle Makdissi. That’s the first thing I say when I meet someone because every one tell their name. After saying that all you say is up to you but really what is there to tell about ourselfs? Maybe what we like to do. I really like watching tv shows. How is that suppose to fit in a normal conversation. Normal answers would be sports and shopping for girl but I don’t enjoy shopping I’d rather stay at my house and watch tv or go out to go skating. The thing is that for a strange reason people don’t like to skate in summer! How come? It’s so hot outside why don’t you want to get cold? After trying to figure out what I can tell when someone ask me what I like to do, I usually give up and just say that I don’t like anything because what I like can be strange. I’m a strange person and it’s better that way. If I didn’t love figure skating I would burn ouside during summer but instead I can go twice a moth to go skate. I guess this must be strange for most people but it’s fun.
These last two week, people have usually asked you why you came to explore because we don’t have any other questions to ask. I pretty much keep my answer small : I wanted to improve my english and maybe meet new people. That’s the same answer as everyone else but what is there to say? We all came because we wanted to and that’s the most important reason. After all the questions we can really start talking with each other and ask normal question like what we want to do while we’re here or what we are looking forward to. My usual answer would be I don’t know. I’m looking forward to a good moment that I’ll remember because it was funny. Then after knowing everything about what’s the person’s expectations we start talking about our towns!
