I’m Emanuelle Makdissi. That’s the first thing I say when I meet someone because every one tell their name. After saying that all you say is up to you but really what is there to tell about ourselfs? Maybe what we like to do. I really like watching tv shows. How is that suppose to fit in a normal conversation. Normal answers would be sports and shopping for girl but I don’t enjoy shopping I’d rather stay at my house and watch tv or go out to go skating. The thing is that for a strange reason people don’t like to skate in summer! How come? It’s so hot outside why don’t you want to get cold? After trying to figure out what I can tell when someone ask me what I like to do, I usually give up and just say that I don’t like anything because what I like can be strange. I’m a strange person and it’s better that way. If I didn’t love figure skating I would burn ouside during summer but instead I can go twice a moth to go skate. I guess this must be strange for most people but it’s fun.
These last two week, people have usually asked you why you came to explore because we don’t have any other questions to ask. I pretty much keep my answer small : I wanted to improve my english and maybe meet new people. That’s the same answer as everyone else but what is there to say? We all came because we wanted to and that’s the most important reason. After all the questions we can really start talking with each other and ask normal question like what we want to do while we’re here or what we are looking forward to. My usual answer would be I don’t know. I’m looking forward to a good moment that I’ll remember because it was funny. Then after knowing everything about what’s the person’s expectations we start talking about our towns!
I also don't like shopping and I hate trying clothing on! Your question about skating in the summer is a very good one... I don't know why we don't skate more in the summer. I like that you say that "I’m a strange person and it’s better that way." It's good to be yourself! It would be quite boring if everyone were the same...
